When using IT Analytics, a prompt for the user name and password appear. Regardless of what is entered, the user is unable to proceed any further. However, this works when an Altiris Console is used directly on the Altiris server. In IT Analytics and on the Analysis Server, credentials are not set up to be required.
The Analysis Server and Reporting Server are on different servers.
If the Analysis Server and Reporting Server are on two different servers, Kerberos must be used to enable communications between them. Note: Kerberos is not managed by Altiris or IT Analytics and therefore Symantec Technical Support is unable to offer assistance in Kerberos implementation or troubleshooting. Please refer to the network administrator or Microsoft for further assistance.
The better solution is to install the Analysis Server and Reporting Server be on the same server. This then avoids the requirement of needing Kerberos.
