Solution
After downloading:
1. Uncompress the package
# uncompress
vxvm311p2+vmsa311p1_239363.tar.Z
2. Untar the package
# tar xvf
vxvm311p2+vmsa311p1_239363.tar.Z
VxVM 3.1.1 - Patch 2 and VMSA 3.3.1 - Patch 1 include
these patches:
110451-02 VRTSvxvm patch for Solaris
2.6.
110452-02 VRTSvxvm patch for Solaris 7 (32-bit and
64-bit)
111118-02 VRTSvxvm patch for Solaris 8 (32-bit and
64-bit)
111122-01 VRTSvmsa patch for Solaris 2.6, 7, and 8
(32-bit and 64-bit)
Notes:
1. Please review the appropriate README files for
VxVM and VMSA before installing the patches. They contain lists of included
files and installation instructions that may vary by OS
version.
2. These patches are intended for the English version
of VxVM 3.1.1 and should not be installed on any of the localized versions of
VxVM.
3. Sun patch 107473-07 is required before these
patches can be applied on a Solaris 7 system.
4. Sun patch 109529-04 is required before these
patches can be applied on a Solaris 8 system.
