"Guardian Edge Accounts are not available to guest users." after installation of GEHD / SEE FD

You may receive an error after initial installation or after logging in to Windows that is described above. The full error is as follows.


"Guardian Edge User Client"
"The Guardian Edge Platform has been installed on this computer to protect its data.
However, Guardian Edge Accounts are not available to guest users."


This may occur if the user has a roaming profile but the local profile was a temporary profile. If for some reason Windows loads a temporary profile for any reason, this can occur. Also, if the guest account is enabled on the machine this can also occur.


Deleting the temporary profile is one method to resolve the issue, and if it's enabled the built-in guest account on the machine can be disabled.
