The ‘Show archived versions for this document’ link in SharePoint is not accurately displaying the archived versions of the document when the Archive has more than one Index Volume


Cause



Using the Enterprise Vault ‘Show archived versions for this document’ link on the SharePoint ‘Version History’ page against an Archive with more than one Index Volume displays ‘No versions of this document were found in the archive.’:

SharePoint 2007 SP2:

No versions of this document were found in the archive.

SharePoint 2010:

No versions of this document were found in the archive.

On the SharePoint server the following will be logged in the DTrace when attempting to get the versions of a document from the archive:

Enterprise Vault version 8.0, DTracing w3wp will show:
