BESR and DS are conflicting on the BCD file when each solution creates an automation folder

Problem
DS 7.1 automation folders and BESR Lightout cannot be installed together on the same system
Error
Either the DS automation folder or BESR lights out will work depending on the order of the install but not both.
Environment
DS 7.1 all builds and BESR 9.0 +
Cause
Deployment Solution automation folders and BESR Lights out both update the BCD file for their specific needs. Unfortunately, they completely over write the file instead of simply adding additional entries. Because neither product is aware of the changes the other makes to the BCD files both products overwrites the others changes.
Solution
This issue is currently being investigated by the Symantec Development team.
