Problem
When you configure the 802.1x profile using Symantec, you are unable to select EAP-PEAP (MS-CHAP v2) as protocol and select NONE as Client Certificate Authority - this works with the Intel AMT console.
Environment
Out of Band Management 7.0, 7.1.
Cause
Out of Band was configured not to allow none to be selected for Client Certificate Authority.
Solution
For 7.1, 7.1 SP1 will resolve this issue.
For 7.0, a Pointfix can be obtained to resolve this issue. Please contact support.
The following instructions to be used to apply the point-fix:
- Unpack zip file to a folder on NS server.
- Open Install.bat for edit and check that path to Altiris folder is correct for your installation in the next statement: SET ALTIRIS_ROOT_PATH; Change this value if needed.
- Save Install.bat if edited
- Open CMD on NS Server with Administrative Rights.
- Browse to folder with unpacked PointFix files.
- Run Install.bat
- Similar procedure for uninstallation (uninstall.bat to be used)
