File Archiving job stays running and BEAO_TRACE log shows "Creating NTFS stream: \\?\UNC\TServ.TDom.DOM\Share1\User:EVFolderPoint.xml Err: 112"

Issue



BEAO_TRACE log shows "Creating NTFS stream: \\?\UNC\TServ.TDom.DOM\Share1\User:EVFolderPoint.xml Err: 112" during File System Archive Job


Cause



The drive on which the user shares are hosted might be running low on space or disk quota might be enabled

net helpmsg 112 from command prompt returns : There is not enough space on the disk.

BEAO log shows the following:

"Creating NTFS stream: \\?\UNC\TServ.TDom.DOM\Share1\User:EVFolderPoint.xml Err: 112"


Solution



  1. Free up or Increase the space on the partition hosting the share.
  2. Disable or change the limit on the share if disk quota is enabled.
