Problem
Client computers in DS automation connect to the wrong task server when using Initial Deployment and Predefined Computers
Error
No error. Thhe PECTAgent simply attaches to the wrong task server, regardless of site assignment
Environment
DS 7.1 (32bit)
DS 7.1 Sp1 (64 bit)
Cause
When the GetClientTask request is sent to the NS, the needed information to determine site server assignment is not present in the database; hence, all task servers are sent to the PECTagent and a decision of which task server to choose is done via a Round Robin method.
Solution
Solution: This issue will be resolved in ITMS_SP1 due out mid second quarter 2011. The fix will also be made available for the DS 7.1 codebase.
