Problem

Unable to image a Windows system from Linux preboot if the system has been syspreped using a 'Prepare for image capture' task.

Error

The prepare for image capture task will attempt to run in the Linux Preboot

Environment

DS 7.1 up to and including mr4

DS 7.1 sp1

Cause

This issue is seen when a job containing a 'prepare for image capture task' - set to have the system boot into a linux preboot - and a 'capture image' task is assigned to a Windows system. When the job is assigned to the Windows system, sysprep runs and the system is booted into the Linux preboot and connects up with the task server. Because the Linux automation agent doesn't know that the 'prepare for image capture task' has completed, it attempts to run the task again in automation and fails.

Solution

This issue is resolved in ITMS_71sp1.
