Symantec Management Framework (SMF) Inventory Scan consumes the CPU when run on a machine that has Symantec Workspace Virtualization (SWV) layers.
Symantec Management Platform (SMP) 7.0 Service Pack (SP) 5 version 8 rollup.
Inventory Solution 7.0 SP2 Maintenance Release (MR) 3
SWV 6.1 SP7 and earlier.
MsiQueryFeatureState call was not optimised.
MsiQueryFeatureState call has been optimised in SWV 6.4.1289 (SP7 MP1 Beta). Customer validaton was carried out with SWV 6.4.1294 (SP7 MP1 Beta).
SWV 6.1 SP7 MP1 has a tentative release timeframe of Summer 2011.
