Environment
Windows 2008 R2 running Symantec Management Platform (SMP) 7.1
Cause
After reviewing all Symantec Installation Manager (SIM) and product install logs we were unable to identify the actual cause of this problem; however, we believe that it was possibly due to either an environmental setting or a glitch during the installation phase which was not recorded.
Solution
Manually create the missing "C:\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\NSCap\EvtQueue" directory.
