Running a SQL Restore fails with very little byte count and an error indicating there is insufficient permissions.

 


Error



V-79-65323-3110 - User does not have permission to RESTORE database 'DATABASENAME'.

 


Cause



This can occur if the System Logon Account doesn't have the neccessary SQL permissions even if the account being used to run the restore does.

 


Solution



Give the System Logon Account the neccessary SQL permissions, or change the System Logon Account to one which does.
