Issue



The SAP Agent acts as a client for Backup Exec. Through the biparam.ini file, Backup Exec parameters are set for the jobs that are submitted from SAP interfaces. For example, a job name can be set, a server or device specified to use for the job, or specify the backup compression mode.

It has been observed a BE 2010 R3 SAP Agent job may experience the behavior noted above, if there is a communication issue to the Media Server.

Solution



Workaround:

  1. Configure the SAP DBA-Initiated backup to goto Disk
