Method to create Framework

 
1. Open the Symantec Endpoint Encryption Manger
2. Expand the Symantec Endpoint Encryption Software
3. Click on Framework
4. Create a new client administrator account with the available privileges
 
Note : You should have at least one account with "High" Level and "Default admin" privileges.
 
5. Enter the username and password and click on "Ok" and then click on "Next"
6. In the Framework Installation Settings - Registered Users, select the option as per your requirement. In this window you can select the "Authentication Method", "Registration", and Un-registration.
7. The next window "Framework Installation Settings - Single Sign-on", you check "Enable Single Sign-On". Click Next
 
Note : Checking this option will modify the original MSGINA.Dll to SEEGINA DLL.
 
8. The Next window "Framework Installation Settings - Password Authentication" allows you to modify "Password Attempts", "Password Complexity", "Maximum Password Age", "Password History", "Minimum  
     Password Age". Click Next
9. The next window, you can enable token authentication if you require. On the "Framework Installation Settings - Token Authentication" you can enable the option "Users can authenticate SEE with expired certificate"
     to enable Token Authentication.
10.On the next with you can set authentication message for the users. Click Next
 
Note : Maximum character is 900
 
11.On the "Framework Installation Settings - Authenti-Check", you can enable this setting with maximum three question for the user.
 
Note : The question that you configure here will appear to the user when they register to the product. This will be also usefull when they forget their password.
 
12.The next window will help you to enable the One Time Password. Click Next
13.On the next screen, "Framework Installation Settings - Communication", you can configure the server link, Domain name, Domain username and password. Once the link is established the client will be able to
      communite through it. Click Next
14.On the next screen you can select the AES encryption strength. The options are 128-bit and 256-bit
15.Once you click Finish, you can save the package on the hard drive. The .msi package will get created. This is also create the 64bit package.
 
Note : It is recommended to export the package on the local hard drive.
 
Method to create Full disk
 
1. Open the Symantec Endpoint Encryption Manger
2. Expand the Symantec Endpoint Encryption Software
3. Click on Fulldisk
4. In the "Full Disk Installation Settings - Startup", you can configure a custom logo which will display on the startup.
 
Note : Please read the manual to get more information about the size and extension of the image. The image has to a bitmap file.
 
5. Full Disk Installation Settings - Logon History, allows you to automatically remember either the domain or user name. Click Next
6. The next windows "Full Disk Installation Settings - Encryption", allows you to choose the Disk drive to encrypt, this includes "Disk Drives", "Disk Partition", "Local Decryption"
 
Note : Also click on "Show More" to get the advance option and choose as per your requirement.
 
7. On the next window "Full Disk Installation Settings - Installer Customization", you can select the location where the SEE client will get install.
 
Note : Symantec recommends to install the SEE client on the default location.
 
8. The next window "Full Disk Settings - Client Monitor", allows you to specify the computers lock out period.
9. On the next screen "Full Disk Installation Settings - Mac Client Package", you can specify the location to extract the client package for Mac Operating System.
10.Once you click on Finish, you have to specify the location to save the client installation file. This will also include for 64bit client package.
