Problem
When restoring individual files from an Opt-Dupe backup set that contains DFSR data, the restore runs and restores the data, then hangs at the end of the job. Eventually the job will finish, but may take several hours depending on the size of your DFSR set.
Solution
This issue has been resolved in Backup Exec 2010 R3 Hotfix 159965.
Workaround:
Once the byte count stops moving and the data has been verified as restored, cancel the job.
Additionally, you may let the job continue as it will complete. This can take as long as the original backup or longer.
