Problem
Server has a mismatched certificate, and failed to replicate after migrating from SSEP 5 MR9 to Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.
Cause
The SSEP 5.x system did not validate certificates when replicating, so when you migrate, the newly migrated 11.x or 12.x system does not have the certificates set up correctly.
Solution
When upgrading from SSEP5.x to Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1, you have two choices to keep the replication relationship set for SSEP5.x after upgrading.
- You can remove the replication relationship on both partners before upgrade, then add back the deleted replication relationship after upgrading both partner sites.
- You can trust the replication partner's certificate after upgrading both partner sites directly.
