Support for AIX TL2 and AIX 6.1 TL8
Installing/Upgrading of AIX OS to AIX 6.1 TL8 or AIX 7.1 TL2 might result in I/O hang on specific volumes in SFCFS/SFRAC configurations.
In Cluster Volume Manager (CVM) configurations, volume recovery triggered on Veritas volume which has DRL log plexes associated with it, results in I/O hang on that particular volume.The latest Technology level updates from IBM – AIX 7.1 TL2 and AIX 6.1 TL8 are supported with the Storage Foundation stack with the following APARs:
- AIX 6.1 TL8 : IV31919
- AIX 7.1 TL2 : IV31918
Support for Solaris 11 on SFHA Solutions
Support for Solaris 11 on the SPARC and x64 platforms is available in the Storage Foundation and High Availability Solutions 6.0 Platform Release (PR)1 and 6.0.1. Support for Solaris 11.1 is available in Storage Foundation and High Availability Solutions 6.0.3.
Support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Update 3 (RHEL6.3) on SFHA Solutions
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (RHEL) Update 3 is not compatible with Storage Foundation and High Availability Solutions 6.0 & 6.0RP1 releases due symbol changes used within the new kernel. Storage Foundation and High Availability Solutions 6.0.1 & 6.0.2 include support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 update 3 (RHEL 6.3).
Note: A compatibility issue has been discovered on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 update 3 running a later kernel (2.6.32-279.11.1.el6.x86_64) with Storage Foundation and High Availability Solutions 6.0.1 & 6.0.2. The symptom is that the VxFS component cannot be loaded or used. Symantec have released a patch to resolve the issue.
Support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 Update 4 (RHEL 6.4) on SFHA Solutions
A compatibility issue has been discovered on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 update 4 (RHEL 6.4) with Storage Foundation and High Availability Solutions 6.0.1 & 6.0.3. The symptom is that the VxFS component cannot be loaded or used. Symantec have released a VxFS patch for SFHA 6.0.3. Customers at SFHA 6.0.1 are required to upgrade to SFHA 6.0.3 before installing this patch.
Support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Update 9 (RHEL 5.9) on SFHA Solutions
Storage Foundation and High Availability Solutions 6.0.1 and 6.0.3 are supported on RHEL 5.9
