Problem
The SEP IC Antivirus Inventory does not detect F-Secure Antivirus for Workstations.
Environment
SEP Integration Component 7.1 Sp1
Symantec Management Platform 7.1 Sp1
F-Secure Antivirus for Workstations 9.x
Cause
KNOWN ISSUE
Solution
The issue has been reported to Symantec engineering for further investigation.
The following work around is provided at your responsibility to make a backup of each file being modified:
1. On the Symantec Management Platform Server edit the following files with Notepad:
?:\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\NSCap\bin\Win32\X86\Symantec Endpoint Protection\AvInventory\AVInventory.xml
?:\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\NSCap\bin\Win64\x64\Symantec Endpoint Protection\AvInventory\AVInventory.xml
2. Search for the line "F-Secure Anti-Virus for Workstations".
3. Edit the line to match the following:
<antiVirus name="F-Secure" searchString="F-Secure Anti-Virus for Workstations" searchPath="HKLM\SOFTWARE\Data Fellows\F-Secure\F-Secure GUI\PUB" value="ProductName">
4. Save the files (Win32 and Win64) and schedule the Antivirus Inventory.
