If a user or group has been given the Change permission (Windows 2003) or the Contributor permission (Windows 2008) to the share they have the right to delete items in the share on the Windows server. However, this right is not automatically being granted to the FSA Archive permissions.
This issue has been addressed in the following release:
Enterprise Vault 9.0.4 - Release Details
Enterprise Vault 10.0.1 - Release Details
There are two workarounds for this issue.
1. Grant the user the Delete permission manually on the Permissions tab of the archive properties or use Enterprise Vault Policy Manager (EVPM) to add the permission. Please refer to the article link in the Related Articles section.
2. Give the user or group Full Control (Windows 2003) or Co-Owner (Windows 2008) rights on the share permissions.
FSA- Users are not granted the delete right to the archive unless they have Full Control/Co-Owner rights to the share.
