Basic Disk Disk Staging Storage Unit (DSSU) configured in NetBackup 7.0 Cluster master/media server fails to trigger High Water Mark (HWM) cleanup automatically

Problem
NetBackup 7.0 does not supported clustered media servers, unless they have been upgraded from NetBackup 6.5.x. However, a clustered master/media server is permitted even when installing NetBackup 7.x and not upgrading to NetBackup 7.x.
Unfortunately, Basic Disk Disk Staging Storage Units which use the cluster/virtual NetBackup name for the storage unit and storage server name, will not perform the HWM trigger and cleanup any staged backups images when exceeding the HWM. This is a very similar problem experienced for Advanced Disks.

Solution
- The recommended solution is to upgrade NetBackup to a higher version (NetBackup 7.0.1 or above), as the problems have been resolved.
- Symantec engineering produced an emergency engineering fix for this issue under Etrack 1878699. To obtain this hot fix, please contact the Symantec support team.
