GRT Restore of Exchange Fails with Below error Message


Error



0xe000fe2d - The backup of the item is bad
Error writing file data.

The Remote Agent Debug on the Exchange server shows mail is restored, then a failed corrupt message followed by more successful mail restores.

[fsys\mb2] - MB2 message already exists "SubjectOfEmail"
[fsys\mb2] - MapiItem::SaveProps, SaveChanges() returned 80004005
[fsys\mb2] - OBJECT: SubjectOfEmail

Exchange 2007


Cause



The Destination Mailbox is full, or has reached the Mailbox quota Limit To Restore the Content.  Please review the storage quota on the database being restored to.


Solution



1. Increase the Storage Limit for the mailbox

Or

2. Select another Mailbox in another mailbox database using redirect restore as the destination
