Issue



The Backup Exec Remote when restarted from services.msc stays in a stopping state. The service cannot be killed from Task Manager or by using any third party tools. The remote agent can be restarted after the reboot. However after a few Backups are run and an attempt is made to restart the remote agent it again goes to stopping state
