Remote Servers do not show up under 'Favorite Resources' in the backup selection list after upgrade to Backup Exec 2010 R3

Issue



After upgrading Backup Exec 2010 from R2 to R3, none of the remote servers are appearing under Favorite resources.


Error



Following error is recorded in Remote Agent (beremote) debug log of the remote server:

Cause



Remote agent is failing to advertise to Media server with " Failed Client Side SSL handshake " error even after the Media server name is added under Publishing tab of Remote Agent utility and the Trust Relationship is enabled.


Solution



A hotfix is now available for this issue in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned in this article. Refer to the Hotfix link under Related Documents at the end of this article to obtain the hotfix needed to resolve the issue.
