Issue



 Symantec Management Agent for Unix, Linux and Mac 7.1 SP1 (and below) will not receive any tasks from an assigned Notification Server if "Network security: LAN Manager authentication level" is set to "Send NTLMv2 response only\refuse LM & NTLM" on Domain Controller and Notification Server is in the domain.

 Symantec Management Agent for Unix, linux and Mac 7.1 SP1 (and below) will not receive any tasks from an assigned Notification Server if "Network security: LAN Manager authentication level" is set to "Send NTLMv2 response only\refuse LM & NTLM" on Notification Server belonging to a  workgroup.

 



Environment



Notification Server  7.1 SP1

Symantec Management Agent for Unix, Linux and Mac 7.1 SP1

 


Cause



The used library "libcurl" does not support NTLMv2.


Solution



Use different "LAN Manager authentication level", for example, "Send NTLMv2 response only \ refuse LM" or "Send NTLMv2 response only".
