Prior to the release of Cumulative Patches (CPS), most hotfixes that were needed required contact with Symantec Technical Services. Depending on the issue that is being experienced, the requirement for interaction can increase downtime or delay the movement of servers into a production environment.

Known issues with CP3
The following hotfix “Hotfix_5_1_20022_2401163” has been removed from CP3 release.
Following is the list of issues that is excluded as a result of this:
Issue 1 (Incident 2401163 )
The VCS High Availability Engine (HAD) rejects client connection requests after renewing its authentication credentials as per the CredRenewFrequency cluster attribute.
Issue 2 (Incident 2251689)
The VCS High Availability Engine (HAD) crashes.
Issue 3 (Incidents 2239785, 2392336)
The VCS High AVailability Engine (HAD) fails to acknowledge resource state changes. As a result, service group resources do not go offline or fail over and remain in the waiting state forever.
Issue 4 (Incidents 2239785, 2392336)
In a online global soft group dependency, if more than one parent service group is ONLINE in a cluster, then you cannot switch a child service group from one node to another.
The patches have been removed because of undesirable secondary effects such as high CPU usage experienced for 10-20 seconds when running VCS commands (any command starting with HA.) This issue does not affect standalone SFW installations. Symantec is currently working on resolving this issue and the resolution will be included in a future CP release. Please contact Symantec technical support services if this fix is required via individual hotfix.
