Issue



While browsing the critical error logs in Symantec Protection Center 2.0 (SPC) the browser appears to hang or lockup. An error may be received that indicates a script error, or that scripts are taking a long time to execute.


Environment



Symantec Protection Center 2.0.0.419+


Cause



A java script function that is occurring on the client side is taking a long time to execute.


Solution



Upgrading to the latest version should correct the issue.

Allowing additional time for the browser windows to fully render the error logs allows the java script to complete. An additional two to six seconds may be required after clicking on a critical error alert before the browser window appears to be fully functional again.
