E-mail stays in Outbox with PGP Desktop Services Running (Microsoft Outlook 2007 )

E-mails remain in the queue in the Outbox for Outlook 2007 on computers with PGP Desktop Email installed. After exiting the PGP Services from the PGP Desktop Tray, email messages are then  delivered successfully.

This may also occur on computers which do not have PGP Desktop installed.

Solution



This can be related to a Microsoft Outlook 2007 issue and is resolved by applying a patch to Outlook 2007. 

The patch can be found on the Microsoft site:

support.microsoft.com/kb/948984

This can also be resolved by temporarily exiting the PGP Desktop services.
