Issue take place on Windows 7 and Windows XP machines as well.
Same process works fine if executed with Aclient\Dagent under client OS and not in PreOS (WinPE)
Scripted install of Management Agent including setup files will be prepared with a local copy to the target machine. The copy will be performed with firm.exe.
The folder and files arriving on the target machine but not the requested permissions to can access the files. During PreOS the files could be accessed but not under the client OS. (Windows 7 \ Windows XP)
Windows notification that this user has not the requested permissions to access the file\folder
Windows 7 or Windows XP 32 Bit clients
Image tool is GHOST
It looks like that automation doesn't have access to the production OS's credentials!
Use firm.exe in a separate task executed under the OS of the target machine and nor PreOS.
Or these procedure could be tried:
- put the copied files into a folder to inherit the rights.
- Before shutting down for imaging, create a temp folder with permission for the requested user to access it.
- In automation, FIRM copy the folders into the temp folder.
