Recovery Solution 7.0.3454 - Registry snapshot fails. FSRs and rollbacks are not available

RS client machine is not backing up the registry.


RS Agent snapshot progress dialog has the following message: Registry snapshot failed. Please contact your Recovery Solution Administrator.


Applies to Recovery Solution version 7.0.3454.


Incorrect logic in the code forces RS Agent to look for the registry files on a wrong drive.


Attached are the archived packages (both 32 and 64 bit versions) that should replace RS Agent installation packages on the NS and RS servers in following locations:

NS Server box, 32 bit RSA package:
\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\NSCap\Bin\Win32\X86\Recovery Agent Package

NS Server box, 64 bit RSA package:
\Program Files\Altiris\Notification Server\NSCap\Bin\Win64\X64\Recovery Agent Package

RS Server box, 32 bit package:
\Program Files\Altiris\Recovery Solution\Server\Agent\Package\x86

RS Server box, 64 bit package:
\Program Files\Altiris\Recovery Solution\Server\Agent\Package\x64


After packages are updated administrator should update distribution points for the replaced packages in the NS Console. In order to do that please go to RS Package page in the NS Console then select 'Update distribution points' and hit 'Apply'.

Existing problemaitc RS Agents can be reinstalled using 'RS Reinstall' policy.
