How to install Command Central Storage 5.2 Managed Host on RHEL6


Solution



1. Copy attached ccs-linux-5.2HF520002314269u.tar.gz to a temporary location like /tmp

2. After extracting the ccs-linux-5.2HF520002314269u.tar.gz, the below two files will be available.
    - patch.pl
    - README  (this file)

3. Use the patch as below while installing Command Central Storage 5.2 Managed Host on RHEL 6:

   ./installccsmh `hostname` -require /tmp/patch.pl


Additional Notes:

- Always use this CPI Patch when you want to install Command Central Storage 5.2 Managed Host on RHEL 6.

- compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.fc4.i386.rpm is the rpm which might be required on host to install this CPI patch. 

- Download and install this rpm from http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/1981813/com/compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-47.fc4.i386.rpm.html
