Problem
The firewall component is malfunctioning after a successful Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 install.

Solution
A fix for this issue has been released in the 12.1 RU1 MP1 and 11.0 RU7 MP2 versions of the Symantec Endpoint Protection product.
In case it is not immediately possible to install the latest available SEP release, the steps below outline a separate workaround:
1) Uninstall SEP client from the Win 7 Machine
2) Take back up of the registry
3) Delete the following keys
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\eventlog\System\Teefer3
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\services\eventlog\System\Teefer3
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\services\Teefer3
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Teefer3
4) Reboot the machine
5) Reinstall SEP client.
