The Mac Inventory and Software Management Solution plug-ins are trying to install on Windows clients

New install of 7.1.1.
The System is attempting to install the Mac version of both the Inventory and Software Management Solution Plug-ins on Windows clients.
The plug-in install policies are using the default target.
The client's Resource Manager shows that they are Windows computers, Win7 Pro SP1 and WinXP SP3.
Previously both the Inv and SMS solutions were repaired, no change.
While troubleshooting, the system started to work as designed.
It is now installing the Windows plug-ins on the Windows clients.
At some point the two policies were disabled and enabled again.
But we cannot say for certain what triggered the system to start working as designed.
Nor can we say what caused this issue in the first place.
