Problem
VMWare (AVVI) backups of guest servers cause the Bengine service to terminate unexpectedly. The backup job does not fail, but will hang in processing.
Error
Analysis of the crash dump file generated, indicates;
PROCESS_NAME: bengine.exe
ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0x80000003 - {EXCEPTION.EN_US} Breakpoint A breakpoint has been reached.
Solution
A hotfix is now available for this issue in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned at the end of this article. Refer to the Hotfix link under Related Documents at the end of this article to obtain the hotfix needed to resolve the issue.
