Creating a Vault store partition on a remote server fails with the following error:

"For the Archiving Option, an error occurred while connecting to the enterprise Vault Storage API.Ensure that the Enterprise Vault Storage Service is running."

1. Backup Exec service account do not have adequate permissions on the target location.

2. If you specify a UNC path that includes an administrative share, such as \\server\H$\partitionlocation, then administrative shares must always be enabled. If you disable the server's administrative shares, Backup Exec Archiving option is unable to access the partition.

3. Backup Exec Archiving option does not support creating a partition at the root of a volume or network share.

Ensure that the Backup Exec service/VSA  account has FULL rights on the target location.

Ensure that the Admin shares are enabled for the location, If you specify a UNC path that includes an administrative share.

Create a folder within the share and then point it as location for the Vault store partition.

NOTE : Use Backup Exec services manager to update the account for BE services. Ensure Backup Exec and Enterprise Vault services use the same service account
