Problem

When storage expiry is scheduled and in report mode shortcut expiry deletes shortcuts that meet retention category criteria. This occurs even when there are no shortuct deletion options selected in the Lotus Domino Mailbox Policy.

Cause

When the archiving task runs it checks the Storage Expiry tab with in the Site settings to see if "Selected Times" is selected. Additionally, the EVLotusDominoArchivingTask checks the "Base expiry On:" setting as well to determine how to expire shortcuts. If "Selected Times" is set in the Storage Expiry settings Shortcut Expiry will occur when the EVLotusDominoArchivingTask whether Storage Expiry is set to "Run in report mode" or not.  This can lead to unintended consequences for an administrator.

Solution

As a workaround set the Storage Expiry settings to "Never" unless you want shortcut expiry to occur.
