When the SEPM was installed, the defaults were used and the default port (8443) was already in use.
Accordingly, the service “Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Webserver” is missing.
- Click Start > Run
- Type Services.msc > Enter
- Scroll down to the Symantec services and confirm the state of the service:
Change the port to an unused port by following the Disaster Recovery procedure.
In performing the Disaster Recovery procedure to restore the SEPM Webserver service, select a port number other than the default port 8443.
