Error encountered when scheduling a custom script in Veritas Operations Manager

Problem
BACKGROUND
Veritas Operations Manager (VOM) has an add-on which allows the user to run a shell script on one or more hosts in the VOM domain.
When a scripting solution was configured and the schedule defined, the error below was seen.
Error
FAIL_SAVEJSON: HTTP request error
Environment
VOM Central Server 4.0RU1
Cause
code defect
Solution
Upgrade the Central Server to 4.0RU1 and install upgraded scripting addon:
4.0.1099.0 (e2338797)
(or higher compatible version)
