Problem
Using Sysprep to restore a virtual disk file (.vhd or .vmdk) of a Windows Domain Controller fails.
Cause
This issue occurs because Windows does not allow running Sysprep on a Windows Domain Controller machine.
Solution
Do not use the ‘Run Mini Setup’ (Sysprep) option while converting Windows Domain Controller machines to virtual disk files.
