Problem

When attempting to import a MIB via the Import MIB file feature, an error occurs: Server Error in '/Altiris/MibImportTask' Application

Symantec Management Platform 7.1

Cause

Root cause is unknown

Solution

Open up a Command prompt "As Administrator"
Run "msiexec /f <InstallDrive>\Altiris\Symantec Installation Manager\Installs\Altiris\altiris_mibimporttask_7_1_sp1_x64.msi"
Run the following command: <InstallDrive>\Altiris\Notification Server\Bin\aexconfig.exe" /configure "<InstallDrive>\Altiris\MibImportTask\Config\MibImportTask.config"
Run IISRESET
Restart the Altiris Service and Altiris Object Host Service services
