The software enables IT teams to safely and easily archive structured data in databases, enterprise applications, and data warehouses, including attachments, while maintaining easy access to the data once archived. Informatica Data Archive is ideal for improving the performance of production applications, safely retiring legacy applications, and supporting regulatory compliance programs.

Definitions:

INFORMATICA Additional File Archive Service
The File Archive Service is the component for archiving to a file and handles loading, storage, and querying against the optimized pattern-based structure. (This is included in the Informatica Data Archive Base License as mentioned above but additional licenses can also be purchased for use with an existing Informatica Data Archive Base License if necessary.)

INFORMATICA Application Accelerator
An Application Accelerator is a set of pre-packaged templates with application-aware content. This provides prebuilt metadata defining business entities and business rules to determine when data can be safely archived from a source application. (This is included in the Informatica Data Archive Base License as mentioned above but additional licenses can also be purchased for use with an existing Informatica Data Archive Base License if necessary.)

INFORMATICA ILM iWay Adaptor
iWay Adapters allow for a specific data type to be used as a data source for Informatica Data Archive that are not supported natively by Informatica. (This is included in the Informatica Data Archive Base License as mentioned above but additional licenses can also be purchased for use with an existing Informatica Data Archive Base License if necessary.)

INFORMATICA Archive Bridge
Archive Bridge connects and loads file archives to file system or 3rd party archive stores (e.g. Symantec Enterprise Vault, EMC Centera, Documentum, etc.).

INFORMATICA PowerExchange Adaptor
A PowerExchange Adapter license provides the ability for Informatica Data Archive to source a particular type of relational database types as specified at the time of licensing. This enables customers to use native database drivers or available ODBC or JDBC drivers for the connectivity.

INFORMATICA Additional TB Licensing
The production database size is a scaling factor used to determine the licensing cost for Informatica Data Archive. The production database size is defined as the total size (number of terabytes) of each production database for Informatica Data Archive prior to any archiving. Cumulative production database size is determined at the time of licensing.
