This hotfix can only be applied to the following versions of Enterprise Vault for:

 

Enterprise Vault for File System Archiving 9.0.2, Build 1061

What issue(s) does this hotfix resolve?

At certain times the cluster failover may not complete properly due to an issue with exporting the FSA registry data.

How to Install this hotfix:

1.  From the Vault Admin Console (VAC) expand Targets>File Servers>Sever_Name.

 

2.  Right-click on the Server_Name and choose FSA Cluster Configuration.

 

3.  Using the FSA Cluster Configuration wizard remove FSA Resource groups from the Server_Name.

 

4.  Take a backup copy of the EnterpriseVaultFSA_M.dll file located in the <Install_path>\Utilities\FSA Cluster folder on the EV server (default location is C:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault\Utilities\FSA Cluster).

 

5.  Replace the file in step 4 with the hotfix version of the file x86\EnterpriseVaultFSA_M.dll.

 

6.  Take a backup copy of the EnterpriseVaultFSA_M.dll file located in the <Install_path>\Utilities\FSA Cluster\x64 folder on the EV server.

 

7.  Replace the file in step 6 with the hotfix version of the file x64\EnterpriseVaultFSA_M.dll.

 

8.  Using FSA Cluster Configuration wizard add the FSA resource groups back to the Server_Name removed in step 3.

 

 

How to Uninstall this hotfix:

1.  From the VAC expand Targets>File Servers>Sever_Name.

 

2.  Right-click on the Server_Name and choose FSA Cluster Configuration.

 

3.  Using the FSA Cluster Configuration wizard remove FSA Resource groups from the Server_Name.

 

4.  Replace the hotfix version of the EnterpriseVaultFSA_M.dll file located in the <Install_path>\Utilities\FSA Cluster folder on the EV server (default location is C:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault\Utilities\FSA Cluster) with the original backup copy of the file.

 

5.  Replace the hotfix version of the EnterpriseVaultFSA_M.dll file located in the <Install_path>\Utilities\FSA Cluster\x64 folder on the EV server with the original backup copy of the file.

 

6.  Using FSA Cluster Configuration wizard add the FSA resource groups back to the Server_Name removed in step 3.
