This document describes the hardware and software required to install and operate the enterprise version of Symantec Endpoint Protection and Network Access Control 12.1 Release Update 1 (RU1).

Solution

Note: This page provides the system requirements for Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.1. If you need the system requirements for another version of Symantec Endpoint Protection, please see "Release Notes and System Requirements for all versions of Symantec Endpoint Protection and Symantec Network Access Control," TECH163829.

These requirements apply to the enterprise version of Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.1. For the Small Business Edition, see System requirements for Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition 12.1 Release Update 1 (RU1).

Unless otherwise specified, all updates, editions, and Service Packs (SPs) for a listed Windows version are supported, e.g. Windows 7 = Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional, and Ultimate editions, all SPs. As Microsoft releases new Service Packs for Windows, these requirements may need to be re-evaluated--the newest Service Pack may require an updated version of the Symantec product.
