Solution

Symantec is aware of this issue and will update this document when a solution becomes available.

Current workaround:

  1. Start Workspace Virtualization Admin.

  2. Deactive a layer you would like to modify if it's actived.

  3. Show the layer Details:
    On View menu, check Details

  4. Check and write down Sublayer info
    NOTE:
Registries under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\_SWV_LAYER_<magicnumber> are registries on Layer Properties.
If RO=1 on Sublayer info shows, <magicnumber> is 1 for ready only registries on Layer Properties.

  5. Open Layer Properties for the layer to mount registries on Layer Properties.

  6. Start regedit

  7. With regedit, add/edit a regstry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\_SWV_LAYER_<magicnumber>.

  8. End regedit

  9. Close Layer Properties

  10. Active the Layer and check if the setting with the registry is available for the Layer application.
