This hotfix can only be applied to the following versions of Enterprise Vault for:

Enterprise Vault for Microsoft Exchange 9.0.2, Build 1061

What issue(s) does this hotfix resolve?
Etrack 2410412:
Unable to extract an item from storage when it encounters an embedded Outlook item without the PR_ATTACH_DATA_OBJ property.

NOTE: See Related Article TECH164621 (Etrack 2410412) for additional details on the requirement of the RecipientMax registry key which, if not set, may also generate error 0x8004010f when exporting items from storage.

Etrack 2508733:
Unable to extract an item from storage when it encounters an attachment which is incorrectly identified as an embedded Outlook item.

How to Install this hotfix:

1. Stop all Enterprise Vault services.
2. Once all services have stopped, take a backup copy of "EVStgAPI.dll", locatable in the Enterprise Vault installation folder (which by default is "C:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault", or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault" on a 64-bit machine).
3. Copy the updated "EVStgAPI.dll", packaged in this hotfix, to the Enterprise Vault installation folder, replacing the original.
4. Start all Enterprise Vault services.

How to Uninstall this hotfix:
1. Stop all Enterprise Vault services.
2. Once all services have stopped, take the backed up copy of "EVStgAPI.dll" and replace the hotfixed file, locatable in the Enterprise Vault installation folder (which by default is "C:\Program Files\Enterprise Vault", or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault" on a 64-bit machine).
3. Start all Enterprise Vault services.
