Problem
NDMP restores fail with EXIT_Status = 91. The problem occurs when restoring from a copy which had been duplicated on Windows.
For example, copy 1 residing on virtual tape library (VTL) is duplicated using a tape storage unit on a Windows platform (copy 2). A restore using copy 2 will fail with EXIT Status = 91.

Environment
NetBackup 7.0.1, 7.1 , 7.1.0.1, 7.1.0.2 or 7.1.0.3 on Windows x86/x64 Media Servers
NDMP image duplication
Cause
The problem does not occur during backups, but only when duplicated and NetBackup successfully writes a block of data to tape and EOM (end of media) occur in the same write.
Solution
Workaround:
Any NDMP duplicate image is susceptible to this issue. When restoring an image that encounters this error, please perform the following:
A. Apply NetBackup 7.1.0.3 and then apply NB_7.1.0.3_ET2648091_2.zip which is attached to this article
B. Edit/create the file <install_path>\VERITAS\Netbackup\db\config\ndmp.cfg and add the following line:NDMP_IGNORE_IMAGE_SIZE_ERROR
C. Duplicate the failing copy to create a good copy
D. Remove the parameter NDMP_IGNORE_IMAGE_SIZE_ERROR
from .\VERITAS\Netbackup\db\config\ndmp.cfg file
E. Try restore from the newly created good copy.
To prevent the issue from occuring to future duplicate images, please apply NetBackup 7.1.0.3 and then apply NB_7.1.0.3_ET2648091_2.zip which is attached to this article:
