Replication is consistently unsuccessful between parent and child. Parent aborts replication job after 48 hours. Job then restarts.
NS 7.1 Sp1
Each time when the NS replicates SoftwareDeliveryEx tasks it creates orphaned instances of the DeliverSoftware task. These are never deleted and build on each replication job.
This issue has been resolved with the ITMS 7.1 SP2 Release.
Pre-7.1 SP2 Solution:
Run the following query to determine if this is the problem:
select count(*) from vitem where classguid = '762DD891-4B01-4836-A976-BA8BAFE66F2D'
AND ProductGuid = '9F9A80FC-2D71-4B08-A1AD-FB146B4AF2C6'
AND Name = ''
If the query returns a large number then there is a pointfix that will prevent these orphaned tasks from occurring and deletes the existing ones. The fix is also available in 7.1 SP1 v1 & v2 and in 7.1 SP2. The pointfix is DOC3696_71_SP1_PFs_SMP_SMF_TM_v2
