Messages in the delivery queue outbound with error "450 4.4.1 (Internal) connection Timed Out" for specific domains

Issue



Customer is unable to deliver messages to specific Domains.

A simple telnet from the appliance to the Domain MX record prove to be working correctly.

A simple telnet from the Mail Server to the Outbound Card of Appliance to send an email to the specific Domain get stuck to the delivery queue with error: "450 4.4.1 (Internal) connection Timed Out"

Solution



Disable the Reverse DNS Lookup for the outbound mails:

  1. Login to the Control Center
  2. Click the Administration Tab
  3. Navigate to -> Hosts -> Configuration
  4. Click on the scanner(s) having the problem to open its configuration
  5. Click the SMTP Tab -> Scroll down and click on Advanced Settings
  6. Click to the "Outbound" Tab
  7. Un-check the "Enable reverse DNS lookup"
  8. Click Continue
  9. Click Save
