Problem
Remote Agent for Windows Servers debug error: ValidatePDILocation : Pdvfs PDI Path still not valid after resync.
Error
0xe000feb5 - A device could not be opened because it is write protected.
Cause
Accounts used for GRT enabled resources, like Exchange, that differ from the account used to create the \\.pdvfs share, where GRT data is processed, generally will not have access to process GRT.
Solution
This Issue is resolved in Backup Exec 2010 R3 Hotfix 191248 and Backup Exec 2012 Hotfix 180962 for BE 2010 R3 and BE 2012 respectively. Refer the related article section for the link to download the hotfix. Please follow the workarounds if the Issue is encountered in the previous version of Backup Exec Software.
Workaround:
Ensure the account used for the Backup Exec Device and Media service logon matches the System Logon Account in Network > Logon Accounts >System Logon Account.
Ensure in Services that the account used for the Puredisk Filesystem Service is Local System Account
