Issue

If the coordinator disks lose the PGR keys that were registered, the node that is missing PGR keys might panic when a cluster split-brain occurs.

You can use the vxfenswap utility to replace the coordinator disks with the same disks. The vxfenswap utility registers the missing keys during the disk replacement.

Environment

SF HA 5.0MP3 and above

SFCFS 5.0MP3 and above

SFRAC 5.0MP3 and above

Solution

Run the following command to view the coordinator disks that do not have keys:
# /sbin/vxfenadm -g all -f /etc/vxfentab

On any node, run the following command to start the vxfenswap utility:
# /opt/VRTSvcs/vxfen/bin/vxfenswap -g vxfencoorddg

( -n use /usr/bin/rsh for communication instead of the default /usr/bin/ssh)

Verify that the keys are atomically placed on the coordinator disks.
# /sbin/vxfenadm -g all -f /etc/vxfentab
Device Name: /dev/vx/rdmp/c1t1d0s2
Total Number of Keys: 4
