Issue

After clicking PrintScreen at remote side, drag and drop is not working.

Environment

pcAnywhere 12.5 SP2、SP3

pcAnywhere Solution 12.6.x

Solution

Download the file attached in this TechNote and replace the original "awterm32.dll" file.

Note: Although the issue was also reported on pcAnywhere 12.5 SP2 build 463 , as Symantec only provides fix on the top of  latest version at the time of release, the patch file contains "awterm32.dll" applicable only on the top of pcAnywhere 12.5 SP5 build 1206.

Procedure:

  1. Close pcAnywhere Manager on Remote.

  2. Backup the existing "awterm32.dll" file from Symantec pcAnywhere folder under Program Files.

**Symantec ALWAYS recommends backing up any files or folders, especially the Windows Registry before making any changes.**

  3. Extract awterm32.dll_SP5.zip and replace the existing pcAnywhere "awterm32.dll" file.

pcAnywhere Solution 12.6.7: The above mentioned fix is included with a product update through the Symantec Installation Manager(SIM).  If you need this fix applied, please use SIM to update pcAnywhere Solution.  If you are not already using pcAnywhere Solution 12.6.7, please upgrade the Solution first, then run SIM again to apply the fix for this issue.
